What is myTIES? myTIES is a web application used by all TIES members, including students, faculty and TA's, to submit and review student weekly reports, peer evaluations and final reports.

Why Have a myTIES Project? The current system is very old and in need of a complete redesign. It has an unfriendly user interface that has little functionality making it difficult to use. As a result, few teams actually use it.

How Will the New Version of myTIES be Improved? We hope to create a well-designed system that TIES faculty, students, TA's and clients will use. It will offer enhanced versions of the current features of the system (ie. peer evaluations, weekly reports) as well as new features, such as a registration and approval system. To do this, we are using a content management system called Drupal. We chose to use Drupal since it is a highly customizable and modular open source content management system that is able to be enhanced through new modules written in an offspring of php.
