Goal of the Kiosk Project

The Lakeside Conservancy decided that they would like to provide information to the public about their project and the environment they care for. Billboards, however, would not be helpful or attractive enough, and drawing on their already-strong relationship with the TIES program the Conservancy set in motion a plan to develop an environmentally-friendly electronic kiosk.

The team has been in the process of designing a kiosk prototype for over two years. The teams goals in this endeavor are: develop and deploy a completely wireless and off-grid device which reies only on solar energy and wireless communications to function, develop and refine a flexible and attractive user interface, rigorously test and modify our structure to ensure its stability and longevity, and continue to work with our client to ensure their needs are met.
