Goal:

Our group this quarter was divided into two teams: Haptics and Mouse Clicker. The Haptic team improves on the haptic vibrating device that directs the blind person to reach the desired object. The Mouse Clicker team creates a Java program that records coordinates clicked by mouse on images and saves them into a text file to allow visually impaired software engineers to discuss the images with their colleagues.

Shopping simulation.

John, the representative from NFB, is simulating shopping for cup noodles with our Haptic device.
The simulation board has many cup noodle products with velcros attached on the back arranged as if they were on the shelf in grocery stores. The device is simulated by a team member acting as the device who knocks faster on a paper cup as John's hand gets closer to the product of focus.

Shoulder piece.

The group is having a demostration of the shoulder piece model that will be used to hold a webcamera and wiimote that search for the grocery product the user wants.
