ANNOUNCEMENTS
  • Dear Graduating Seniors, on behalf of the TIES program, we want to congratulate you on your pending graduation from UCSD. TIES would like to honor you and your accomplishments by inviting you to attend the first annual TIES Graduating Senior Celebration. This event is to be held on Tuesday, May 26th, from 5-6:30 p.m., in EBU 3 (CSE), room 1202. Please join us to learn about the new TIES alumni association and ways you can stay connected with each other and the TIES program after you graduate. There will be awards given and refreshments served.
  • TIES is pleased to be hosting a talk by Robert Sanchez, the CEO and President of Globaltel Media Inc. and an alum of UC San Diego. Please join us on Friday May 15th from 1-2 PM in Center Hall 212. Robert's full bio may be found here.
  • Please check the updated Friday Lecture Schedule
  • We have multiple TIES summer intern positions and fall 2009 tutor positions available. Please complete either the internship application or the tutor application and submit it and your resume to Mandy and Grace by May 15th
  • Applications for the Google Lime Scholarship for Students with Disabilities are being accepted until June 1st. If you qualify, please considering applying!
  • Congratulations to the DVS team who represented TIES in the I2P competition at Purdue University, and earned an all-expenses paid trip to the advanced I2P conference this fall.
  • We will be holding an HTML/Java workshop on Monday April 13 from 2-4 in Center Hall 315. Please RSVP on Facebook or email Grace.
  • TIES is on Facebook! Please join the group so we can let you know about TIES news and social events.
  • The TIES poster session will be at the Experiential Learning Fair from 2-4 PM on April 10th at the Matthews Quad
  • EHS training will be on Friday April 17th from 1-2:50 PM in Center Hall 212. You should plan to attend if you have not taken it before, or took it prior to Fall 2008. If you cannot make it (for example, if you have a 2:00 class), you must schedule a make-up session on your own time.
  • Welcome back! Team meetings begin this week. You can find the dates/times of meeting under Course Sections . Don't forget the first Friday lecture is April 3rd!
  • You must reapply to TIES via MyTIES in order to receive your Winter Quarter section info. Please reapply early and register as soon as you receive the MyTIES email with your section info. We want to make sure that continuing students get first dibs on the teams!
