IEEE just launched the Humanitarian Technology Challenge which is composed of 3 student design competitions in the following areas:
1. Reliable Electricity
2. Data Connectivity of Rural District Health Offices
3. Individual ID tied to Health Records
You will need to submit a letter of intent by November 30th, so please let Mandy and Grace know if your team intends to compete! More info can be found HERE

The first Summer 2009 Prime Information Session will take place Thursday, November 19 at 5:00 pm in the Student Services Multi Purpose Room. Prime offers technical /science oriented students an opportunity to gain relevant academic and cultural experience abroad while being mentored by mentors at both UCSD and their host site abroad. More information can be found here.
