ANNOUNCEMENTS

- IEEE just launched the Humanitarian Technology Challenge which is composed of 3 student design competitions in the following areas:
- Reliable Electricity
- Data Connectivity of Rural District Health Offices
- Individual ID tied to Health Records
You will need to submit a letter of intent by November 30th, so please let Mandy and Grace know if your team intends to compete!

- The first Summer 2009 Prime Information Session will take place Thursday, November 19 at 5:00 pm in the Student Services Multi Purpose Room. Prime offers technical /science oriented students an opportunity to gain relevant academic and cultural experience abroad while being mentored by mentors at both UCSD and their host site abroad. More information can be found here.
- SDNN is doing a feature called "35 under 35 future leaders". If you would like to nominate yourself or someone you know, please let Mandy know!

- TIES is on Facebook! Please join the group so we can let you know about TIES news and social events.
- You must reapply to TIES via MyTIES in order to receive your Fall Quarter section info. Please reapply early and register as soon as you receive the MyTIES email with your section info. We want to make sure that continuing students get first dibs on the teams!

- Final presentations will begin November 13th and continue on November 20th. Please prepare a 10-minute presentation focussing on your project's progress for this quarter. The presentation order is:
