San Diego Middle School Teachers joined us for a "Sensing the Environment" Week-long Workshop Mon. July 9 – Sat., July 14, 2007 9:00 am – 3:00 pm University of California, San Diego EBU 2, Room 584

Participating teachers:

• Learned about and build environmental sensors
• Collected data in a local environment with your sensors
• Used web-based tools to view and analyze your data
• Tested an environmental 3D-video game
• Developed their own sensor-based lesson, and practiced it with middle school girls, in preparation for their own class
• Toured UCSD labs
• Enjoyed an interactive & cooperative learning environment
